I          LEARNING OUTCOMES

          After studying this module, the students are expected to

a.    Enumerate five important principles that a leader must consider,

b.    Remember the concepts cited in the meaning of each principle, and

c.    React on the meaning of each principle

SPECIFIC:     Five Important Principles that a Leader Must Consider

III       TECHNOLOGY, RESOURCES , COURSE MATERIALS, AND CONTENTS

Operational Definition of Key Terms:

Technology refers to the hardware and software to be used in teaching the concerned lesson; coursed materials to the coursebook, collection of papers, bibliography, and list of links on the Internet; resources to the pages of eMinima Claroline VLE; and, contents to the complete and detailed contents of the materials.

IV        PROCEDURES

Before Instruction

·         The teacher...

o   prepares the materials, resources, and contents; and,

o   orients students on the following:

·         Online ethics;

·         Registration for a student account;

·         Accessing the learning materials and performing the learning activities in an eMinima Claroline VLE (Virtual Learning Environment);

·         Module to access, re: Becoming a Leader of Principles; and,

·         Inclusive dates when to access the module.

During Instruction

·         Students asynchronously access the module any day within the inclusive dates given by the teacher.

·         The teacher keeps herself updated on the performance of the students, gives feedbacks on the students’ outputs, and replies to the messages of the students.

After Instruction

·         The teacher gives a paper and pencil test among his students; checks the number of submitted reactions and quality of submitted reactions via forums; and, number of lesson-related messages sent during the online discussion via chat.

·         The criteria to be used in evaluating the quality of each submitted reaction are quantity, substance, and relevance to the topic. Each of these criteria will be rated using the following scale

o   Excellent = 10

o   Very Good = 8

o   Good = 6

o   Poor = 4

o   Very Poor = 2

Using Chat

·         The teacher records performance of the students in terms of number of lesson-related messages sent during the discussion via chat page, and

·         decides whether there is a need to repeat the whole instructional process.
